Amy Pronovost
Owner & Instructor

Amy Pronovost began her love of movement and dance at The Rosemarie Floyd School of Ballet in Royal Oak, MI. Amy received her BA in Dance and English from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. After graduation, she began teaching ballet throughout the metro-Detroit area. Her students have received scholarships to The School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, ABT, JKO School, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Juilliard. She currently has former students performing and teaching all over the world, including Broadway. Amy has over 22 years experience teaching ballet and Pilates. She has guest taught at various studios throughout Michigan, Chicago, Boston, and Ohio, and trained numerous pilates instructors throughout the Midwest. She is a Stott Pilates® Instructor Trainer, a Level 1 Gyrotonic® instructor and a 200 hour RYT.  Amy is very excited to bring her extensive Pilates and movement training to Keego Harbor.

Karen Ockwell

Karen moved from the UK over 20 years ago with her family.  Although her professional background was las, she has had a lifelong interest in movement and health.icole, a.k.a.  “Nikki”, began her journey in the fitness industry at the tender age of 16.  She convinced her mom to join Elaine Powers, one of the first gyms specifically for women in the Detroit area.  Since then she has never looked back.

Nicole has been passionate about exercise, nutrition and the total well being of our bodies from day one.  During her journey people have asked Nicole how she manages to “work in fitness” to her busy life.  The answer she gave is, “This is a lifestyle.  We only have two choices. We either incorporate wellness into our lives, or we don’t, and we except the consequences of that choice”.

 

In 2012, Nicole decided to add Massage Therapy to her journey because she knew how important it was to allow the body to “let go” in order to heal itself.  She experienced first hand relaxing massage therapy during her first pregnancy.  Nicole  truly believes  that because of the massage and her exercise regimen along  with proper nutrition was the reason for both of her pregnancies being very

moved to the USA from the UK over twenty years ago.  Although her professional background was law, she has had a lifelong interest in movement and health.  She began practicing Pilates over 5 years ago which led her to pursue training in Stott Pilates.  Her initial desire to become an educated client quickly developed into a desire to share what she learned and help others improve their body awareness and ease of movement.  Karen is a Stott Pilates Level 1 Mat and Reformer certified instructor.  She is currently renting space to teach out of Aspire Pilates. Clinical Reformer® with Tower​
